On the 11th of December, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic inaugurated StartGate Rabat, expanding the model established at StartGate Benguerir. The new site, covering 3,912 m², aims to strengthen connections among startups, institutional stakeholders, and economic actors, building on StartGate’s work since 2020 in supporting project leaders through incubation, experimentation, prototyping, and market access pathways. The program has engaged more than 1,600 startups and founders and mobilized around 300 academic, technological, and industrial experts.
StartGate’s approach integrates research, technology development, and venture support, enabling projects to progress from scientific research to application in fields such as agritech, green energy, health technologies, retail, artificial intelligence, and financial technologies. Its expansion in Rabat is intended to reinforce coordination with ministries, regulatory bodies, universities, and industrial institutions. At the continental level, StartGate partners with organizations across Africa and supports initiatives in more than 15 countries, with several projects securing international funding or partnerships.
